Reporting directly to the Supervisor, this is a hands-on role working withing a fast-moving operation with strict deadlines to achieve to ensure incoming goods are processed, put into the correct locations, and ready to despatch to our customers.

**Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility**:

- Support the supervisor with the day-to-day management of warehouse operatives through leadership, coaching and motivation
- Understanding and achievement of Key Performance Indicators, target service levels and other metrics
- Align with internal customers in other departments to ensure high performance teamwork
- Provide cover in the absence of the departmental supervisor
- Maintain high levels of Health & Safety standards
- Achieve the targets and job standards set out by the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager
- Be committed to developing and ensuring best practice and compliance
- Actively follow guidance and policies in relation to equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion, security, and confidentiality.
- Perform any reasonable requests from Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.

**To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes**:

- Experience of working within a busy warehouse environment
- Experience in leading and managing a team
- Good communication skills and the ability to support with the communication of performance levels to team members through briefing sessions and training
- Be a strong team player and enjoy working with others to achieve the best result
- Good dexterity
- Good IT and administration skills
- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in your approach to work

**Advantageous**
- Full manual driving licence advantageous (possible requirement to visit other warehouses)
- Forklift Truck License (desirable but not essential as training will be given)
- Stock Management Software experience
- Current First Aid certificate
