We’re also growing fast. We’re now looking for a Stockyard Controller to join us on a temporary 18 Month Contract at our busy site in Dalton, Thirsk.

It’s an exciting place to work, and your challenge will be to help us create even more of those iconic structures we’re known for.

The Main Purpose of this role is to Schedule delivery of all raw material in bar form (Columns and beams) to suit Production requirements in accordance with the live production programme and production plan requirements - considering any pre-external processing ie: Cambering/Curve.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Ensure material is delivered and available for production requirements - expediting suppliers
- Materials are entered into the system swiftly and efficiently with all/correct information (resolving any delivery issues with Suppliers - physical, paperwork, damage)
- Inform Production Planning / Line Managers / Purchasing of any issues.
- Ensure the System Inventory is up to date.
- Organise quantity of deliveries to be achievable by stockyard daily
- Organise external Transport for goods in and out.
- Cover/Support Team Leader - Admin and communication duties]
- Support Stockyard and Shop floor Personnel - material issues
- Support the Finance Team

Required Experience and Skills:

- Structural Steel industrial knowledge
- Knowledge of product - Steel sizes, grades
- Knowledge of Fabrication processes/requirements
- Computer literacy
- MS products, Strumis (advantageous)
- Internal and external communication skills
- People Skills: ability to interact with all level personnel.
