**Duties Incldue**:
**Accounts Assistant**
- To assist in ensuring robust controls, accurate recording, reporting and payments.
- To assist with prompt processing of company purchases invoices on time and in an accurate manner.
- To assist with raising sales invoices.
- To assist with the process of settlements for events.
- To assist with the payment and allocation of miscellaneous expenditure.
- To resolve queries from suppliers, promoters, and colleagues within the business, escalating to the supervisor when required.
- Assist with the weekly BACS payments to suppliers by generating reports, reviewing for accuracy, amending as necessary and then uploading to the internet banking system.
- Prepare monthly supplier statement reconciliations to ensure the purchase ledger is accurate and up to date. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
- Setting up new Supplier, Customer and Promoter accounts.
**Month End Processing**
- To assist in the closing of accounts in line with corporate guidelines and timetables on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis to trial balance, to include the preparation of journals as required.
- Assist in the preparation of the month end reports accurately and on time.
- To ensure that all BH Live control accounts relating to accounts receivable are reconciled monthly. Reconcile any other balance sheet control accounts allocated by the Financial Controller in accordance with the month end timetable. Implement action plans as required to clear delinquent items.
**Other Duties**
- To produce ad hoc management information when requested.
- To provide finance systems training and topic specialist advice to users in the finance team and business areas as and when required.
- To identify, suggest and implement improved ways of working and promote the sharing of best practice.
- Support the roll out of any system enhancements and upgrades, assessing the impact to existing processes and suggesting changes where required.
- Provide cover for other team tasks during periods of holiday, sickness, or peak activity.
- To assist the Finance Manager or other senior managers in ad hoc duties and projects as directed.
Any other duty as required by the line manager commensurate with the post.
