Ty Caredig is a provider of high-quality children’s residential care.

We prioritise creating enjoyable roles within positive environments in which staff are fully supported to deliver care that promotes the well-being of our young people.

We create nurturing and safe homes for our young people to develop their independence, confidence and well-being. We care for young people aged between seven and seventeen that can sometimes present challenging behaviour associated with traumatic backgrounds.

Ty Caredig operates homes across Bridgend, Cardiff and Swansea. Our teams benefit from a rota of two days ‘on’ and four days ‘off’ with a starting salary of £28,923, whilst overtime is paid at £15/hr.

Our teams are thoroughly trained and equipped to provide therapeutic care, and all staff must be willing to work towards Level 3 Health & Social Care.

All staff must be willing and able to drive company cars to transport our young people to activities, free time and family contact. A full manual driving licence is therefore required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Encouraging positive weekly plans that involves the participation of activities e.g. sports, bowling, walking, exploring.
- Adopting a ‘Trauma informed’ therapeutic approach to nurture the development of our young people.
- Developing the Independent Living Skills of our young people.
- Carrying out household tasks.
- Supporting family contact.
