The Transport Policy and Strategy team are advertising 3 exciting entry-level roles that will see the you involved in developing new transport policy, undertaking research and best practice, and supporting feasibility studies for new projects.

**What will I be doing?**

You will be working in the Transport Policy and Strategy team supporting senior and principal transport officers to develop new transport policy for the city, undertake research and data analysis to inform our overall strategy and being involved in feasibility studies for new walking, cycling and public transport schemes.

The team sets the strategy for the whole of the Transport Service and as such we work collaboratively with a wide variety of teams, not just in transport, but right across the council. You will need to be organised, a strong communicator and have a drive to learn about the challenges and opportunities in other teams and how this is reflected in the development of new policy.

As Bristol makes the transition to a committee-based system of governance the post holder will be involved in preparing briefing papers to ensure that local councillors have the evidence they need to make effective decisions.
