Accounts Assistant

**Job description**:
We are looking for an experienced accounts assistant to deal with all aspects of the day-to-day bookkeeping for the company. This role is ideally suited to someone that has a broad range of experience with all activities related to company bookkeeping and can work with mínimal supervision. This is a permanent part time role - 2.5 days per week (or this can be spread across 4-5 days) with flexibility regarding home working.

**Main duties**:

- Process all purchase invoices and obtain approval for payment
- Compile payment runs, ensuring all supplier invoices are uploaded
- Setting up bank payments
- Carry out supplier statement reconciliations
- Daily and monthly bank statement reconciliation
- Processing staff expenses
- Management of the company credit card accounts
- Raising purchase orders
- General administrative duties
- Liaison with third party providers, clients and suppliers
- Any other accounting duties reasonably required by the Finance Manager
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role or 2 years’ experience and an HND, AAT or ACCA part-qualified
- Good numerical and data analysis skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
- Accuracy and attention to detail is critical
- Self-motivated, methodical and able to work independently
- Proven IT Skills, particularly Excel
- Clean driving license and permit to work in the UK

**Advantageous Knowledge/Experience**
- Experience of Microsoft Dynamics Nav

**What you can Expect in Return**:

- Salary £23,000-£28,000 FTE depending on experience
- Permanent, part-time 2.5 days per week
- Hours are flexible Monday to Friday
- Hybrid role with opportunity to work at home 1 day per week
