**£21,164 pro rata, equates to £11 an hour**
**20 hours per week**

Barnsley Norse are currently recruiting for a Caretaker to work on site at the Mill Academy in Barnsley.

This position is being offered on permanent basis working 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7am-9am then 4pm-6pm.

**The role**

As the Caretaker, you will ensure that the school buildings and associated sites are maintained to the highest of standards, providing a clean and safe environment for all on site. In addition to securing the site, you will be responsible for all day to day maintenance, ensuring the building is in a good state of repair and works are planned around its service users.

You will be pro-active in your approach with excellent communication and customer service skills. You will be competent in all aspects of minor maintenance. Experience of working in a similar role with a clear understanding of Health and Safety related and safe working practices.
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work within a team or on your own
- Knowledge of Health & Safety
