**About the role**:
We’re looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our shared services Finance team.

Working in a team of Finance Business Partners, you’ll be supporting our largest Operating Company, taking complete ownership of all financial reporting including Budgeting, Forecasting, Management and Statutory accounts. This is a hands-on role within a dynamic and agile commercial environment.

Your role will ensure accurate and timely management of information, informing quality decision making by Senior Management and Directors.

Bailie Group Business Services provides the People, Finance, IT, Compliance and Payroll support functions to the diverse operating companies within the Bailie Group. We are looking for someone who can...
- Prepare high-quality monthly management accounts, with commentary and analysis.
- Facilitate accurate reconciliations and reporting of revenue, cost of sales and overheads, as well as the preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Drive financial planning, budgeting and forecasting activities: report and track progress against plan and report variances to the operating company.
- Use insights and analysis to make proactive recommendations to support business decision making.
- Prepare information packs to support the annual audit and statutory accounts: liaising with auditors during the audit process.
- Challenge and support business leaders to improve performance and proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.
- Lead on and manage continuous improvement projects, reviewing current processes to ensure automation and efficiencies.
- Forecast short and long-term cash flow.
- Build working relationships with external stakeholders such as Auditors and Accountants.
- Manage HMRC submissions and returns including quarterly VAT returns.
- Provide expertise and mentorship to junior members of the finance team

**Requirements**:

- Part Qualified/Qualified accountant.
- Commercial awareness and appreciation.
- Gravitas and personality to Business Partner with Senior Management.
- Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex financial information in simple terms.
- A proven record of managing non-finance stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- A proven record in change management.
- Self-motivated, with a proactive approach and consistently delivering to deadlines.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proactive approach to continuous development and growth.
- Able to prioritise workload.
- Confident and reliable.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- It would also be beneficial, but not essential to have _
- A working knowledge of Access Dimensions and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
