**Key Duties of the purchasing manager role -**:
- Procurement and Purchasing for the site
- Manage a team of 2 existing purchasing staff
- Management of the day-to-day activities that secure the supply of direct materials to support the business
- Building and maintaining good relationships with new and existing suppliers
- Stock Controls
- Stock forecasting and monthly stock takes
- Goods in & Despatch
- Logistics - Carriers and 3rd Party Transport arrangements
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure deliveries arrive on time
- Import / Export arrangements
- Lead change management for the purchasing team, supporting new product introductions
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of best practices and procedures in all areas
- CIPS Level 5 qualified
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good Negotiation skills and proven experience of cost saving
- Experience of HM Customs and import/export requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Working technical knowledge of attachments industry a bonus
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, stock control and CRM systems
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good administrative and organisational skills
- Team player
