Pharmacy Assistant

**We are currently looking for a full time and part time Healthcare Counter Assistant.**

Rate of pay will be **£10.50 - £11.50** depending on experience and qualifications.

We are looking for two new members of staff to look after our medicines healthcare counter, ideally we would like to hire one full time member of staff and one part time member of staff, we could also consider 2 part time members of staff that could work a 4 day week each (including alternate Saturday mornings) - we are quite flexible and can discuss during any interview offered.

Applicants must have at least 2 years experience working in a chemist/pharmacy and already be qualified to be able to recommend medications and give qualified healthcare advice.

Delmergate Ltd is a family run business and we have been trading since 1986, whilst this branch is busy we have a lovely team working together to meet the needs of the local community and we are looking for new team members that have the same passion to ensure the local communities healthcare needs are well catered for.

Duties will include:

- serving customers
- accepting and handing out prescriptions
- making recommendations for over-the-counter medicines
- ordering stock and putting away deliveries
- keeping the retail area clean and tidy
- date checking
- daily cashing up and weekly banking process
- assisting in providing NHS services (applicable to your role)

Ideally applicants will hold a qualification issued by the NPA or Buttercups, we will also accept in-house training schemes from Lloyds, Boots, Superdrug etc.

As this is a very busy branch this position is unfortunately not suitable for anyone that does not have the relevant qualifications as it is not a position where you can train on the job.
