My client are world leading marketing agency who are currently looking to develop a series of cutting edge marketing intelligence tools for their clients.
As a Lead Data Engineer your role will cover;
**Insight**:Consumer insight focused team, identifying who to target and how to reach them.
**Marketing Sciences**: The Analytics/data science unit where we conduct ad-hoc projects and client-focused studies.
**Business Intelligence**: A mix of product development specialists and consultants supporting both planners and clients make better data-driven decisions.
**Data & Tech Enablement**:Visualisation, technology and data specialists solving complex data-related problems to provide clear and effective insight back to clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Be the leading voice on the core design of data architecture, determine the best way to progress, and lead the team implementing the plan.
- Contributing to pitch content and scope for new work and solutions for prospective and current clients.
- Mentor a team of Data and BI Engineers
- Take responsibility for the team to mature into a best practice data-ops team, as well as driving data literacy across the marketing science team within the data engineering space.
- Be a key stakeholder on our cloud based infrastructure, providing expertise and recommendations on the best opportunities to innovate and develop the underlying technology.
- Get involved in designing, building and maintaining data pipeline architecture for ELT/ETL.
- Proactively review existing process to identify opportunities to automate manual processes, optimise data delivery, re-design infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Collaborating with data scientists, analysts and front-end data visualisation team to identify potential opportunities and maximise the value delivered from data models.

**Qualifications or Experience**:

- 3+ years as a data engineer working in with experience in key disciplines, e.g. data warehousing, Business Intelligence and big data processing.
- Google Cloud Platform (preferred, but any other cloud experience e.g. AWS, Azure is also relevant).
- Good knowledge of Python and/or R.
- Good knowledge of SQL.
- Familiar with different data modelling techniques.
- Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools.
