**Job description**

We are recognised as a successful supplier of high quality hose valves, pipe and fitting solutions to construction, industrial, food/beverage, pharmaceutical, mining and agricultural industries.

**Job Summary**
- Inspect incoming goods, materials, and shipments to ensure they meet quality and specifications requirements.
- Verify quantities, dimensions, labels, and product codes against purchase orders or delivery notes.
- Conduct visual inspections, checking for any damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Utilize appropriate inspection equipment, such as measuring tools or testing devices, to perform quality checks.
- Follow established quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy in inspections.
- Identify and document any quality issues, deviations, or non-conforming items.
- Collaborate with the quality Lead to address and resolve quality-related concerns.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements to suppliers or internal stakeholders as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, including inspection results, findings, and any corrective actions taken.
- Prepare inspection reports and documentation for internal records and references.
- Communicate inspection results and findings to relevant stakeholders, such as procurement, warehouse, or production teams.
- Monitor and report on inspection trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and warehouse to ensure smooth and efficient goods receiving processes.
- Communicate and coordinate with suppliers or delivery personnel regarding any discrepancies, rejections, or returns.
- Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed, ensuring timely and accurate completion of inspections.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to goods receiving, quality control, and inspection processes.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns related to the goods in receiving area.

**Skills**
- Proven experience in goods inspection, quality control or a related field.
- Engineering background is essential
- Familiarity with inspection technique tools and equipment.
- Basic understanding of quality control principles and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Inspect products for quality and accuracy.
- Test products for safety and performance.
- Ensure that products meet customer requirements.
- Document inspection results.
- Provide feedback to production teams.
- Maintain records of quality assurance activities.
- Analyse data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
