Abnormal Loads Transport Planner

Hanson European Caravan Transport Ltd are the UK's leading specialist transport company for caravans and lodges**.** The company was acquired by Parkdean Resorts in early 2022.
We are currently looking to appoint an abnormal loads transport planner to join the planning department.
Duties to include:
- Responsible for planning all movements of HGV and Escort vehicles to ensure timely and cost effective delivery of abnormal load caravans
- Ensuring all planning is compliant with ESDAL and tacho legislation
- Providing accurate information to police constabularies
- Plan collections and deliveries to agreed movement schedules
- Book ferries and deliveries into docks
- Providing the Planning Manager information regarding costs and planned work
- Effective communication with Drivers, Customers, Colleagues, Planning Manager, Transport Manager & Operations Manager
- Managing the Transport administration using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Hanson bespoke IT system (Mandata).
- Confident to work in a fast paced, high pressured environment.
Essential
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, and organisational skills
- Experience of transport planning and day to day running of the schedule
- Have an adaptable approach to meet the needs of the business
- Self-motivated and able to work in a team and independently as required
- Excellent IT skills
Desirable
- An understanding of working time directive and legislation regarding drivers’ hours
Working hours:
- 45 hours Monday - Friday (08:00 - 17:00, with flexibility considered).
**Salary**: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
