We are looking for an ambitious, motivated, confident, proactive, and professional individual to occupy the position of a Team Leader to work with our dedicated team in a Supported Accommodation to promote quality standard of support and services we are offer to our young people in realisation of our mission of preparing them toward their independence. You will work in a team supporting young people/person at our placement (house) in developing their daily independent skills.

In addition to supporting the team in:

- Providing emotional support young people and working with young people to understand their needs and assist with their emotional dysregulation.
- Working in a team and collaboratively with external professionals, such as social workers, police, youth offending offices, Independent Reviewing Officer and Family to ensure consistency of support to ensure holistic needs are met.
- Encouraging young people to attend to their personal hygiene and wellbeing.
- Supporting young people with their daily independent skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning, shopping, tidying, community integration and engaging in activities and attending appointments.
- Adhering to young people's person-centered support plan and DOLs order.
- Ensuring safety of the young person at placement and in community by planning, risk assessing situation and implementing measures to maintain safe and conducive environment for our young people.
- Supporting our young people to lead a good quality of life and help them make positive life choices.
- Reporting and recording activities and incidents in line with the protocol e.g Mispers, incident report, weekly report, and daily updates.
- Communicate with professionals and young person’s family, updating them about young people where applicable.
- Understanding their communication needs and adapting your communication to each young person/s e.g. sounds, tones, body language.
- Build therapeutic relationship with young people and have confidence to communicate effectively and listen to them with the aim of understanding and meeting their individual needs.

**Experience**:
**Skills**

Must have:

- Effective communication skills, ability to listen and pay attention to our young people concerns and provide non-judgemental response.
- Communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Teamwork skills
- Computer literacy: use of Microsoft office

**Education**:
NVQ Level 3 or Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Level 5, or equivalent management qualification, or the ability to achieve this within 12 months.

**Other**

Clean full driving license is preferred but not essential. Additional advantage car owner

You must be able to work in compliance with legislations and guidelines and in line with the vision, mission, values, policies, and practices of our organisation.

**Salary**: £12.50-£14.50 per hour
