Delmergate Ltd is a family run pharmacy business with pharmacies based in Kent. We employ nearly 70 members of staff across our sites. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a friendly & supportive Head Office team where you will have a good exposure to the workings of our busy day to day operations & have a genuine impact on the delivery of our service across the company.

As HR Assistant you will be responsible for an efficient administrative function to proactively provide support meeting the departmental needs. This will include:

- You will be reporting to the HR manager and providing proactive and comprehensive support.
- Provide administrative support with HR and to the wider team during key projects as required.
- Be the first point of contact for staff HR related matters
- Assist in co-ordinating bookings of locum pharmacists
- The administration and staff holidays which will include the co-ordination of relief cover for holidays
- Receiving calls from staff relating to sickness and recording the daily absence of staff including updating the HR system.
- Informing branch managers about absentees as required and arranging emergency cover before the branch opens.
- Payroll
- DBS Checks
- Assist in our recruitment processes
- Conducting preemployment checks
- Arranging interviews
- Onboarding all new starters
- Health & Safety audits & Risk Assessments.
- Return to work meetings.
- Taking minutes of meetings.
- Assisting with the organisation of HR meetings, including producing agenda’s as requested.
- Manage own workload, setting priorities and producing appropriate and accurate reports and correspondence in a timely manner.
- Accountable for the efficient and effective filing of all HR and payroll documents.
- Provide PA support when required.

There may also be an out of hours element attached to this post to cover the emergency line for short notice staff sickness and planning for the cover needed when informed a member of staff is not going to be attending work.

**To qualify...**You should be a Human Resources Assistant / HR Admin / HR Administrator / Human Resources Administrator or similar with a CV that demonstrates:

- Some HR experience within a busy environment.
- A proven ability to build effective relationships with managers and employees.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Proven ability to demonstrate a professional, confident and can do attitude.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proven ability to work confidently and professionally at all times.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Calm, composed manner but having a sense of urgency when necessary.

Rate of pay will be £25,000 to £30,000 pro rata, dependent upon experience.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
