**Dixons Academies Trust** are looking to recruit a **Catering Manager** with the necessary drive, enthusiasm, ambition and commitment to complement our already well-established multi-academy trust (MAT) to work onsite at **Dixons Croxteth Academy**_. _Offering **£19,684.72 - 23,623.24 per annum** on **a term time, permanent contract.**

**Dixons Academies Trust** is a rapidly expanding family of 16 schools serving the communities of Leeds, Bradford, Manchester and Liverpool. The Dixons Academies Trust team includes experts from a range of backgrounds, who work together to providean outstanding service to our Academies.

**About the Catering Manager role**:
Applicants must provide a high quality Catering Manager service by successfully producing and consistently delivering the highest standard of food offering to pupils, staff, parents and visitors within a pre-agreed budget.

**Catering Manager Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop in conjunction with group catering management a food offering across our Trust that promotes and encourages healthy eating habits through innovative, seasonal menu planning.
- Accurately manage portion sizes and food production to minimise wastage within budgetary parameters.
- Be a leader in the kitchen and make sure the team are prepared for all services.
- Take responsibility for the kitchen and catering team promoting efficiency of staff activity, maintaining high morale and stimulating levels of interest within the team.
- Understand the needs and requirements of our customers, striving to exceed them each day.
- Promote efficiency, budget awareness, academy values and commit to modern, fresh cooking techniques.
- Demonstrate a positive working manner with an enthusiastic, committed and flexible attitude promoting the importance and benefits of effective teamwork.
- Manage effective communication between the front of house and back room staff.
- Engage fully in our trust’s professional growth process to fulfil personal potential and be able to participate effectively in the implementation of our trust's strategic big moves.
- Attend meetings / training and carry out administrative tasks and duties as specified on our trust and academy calendars.
- Consistently implement all trust policies; contribute to decision-making and consultation procedures.
- Report any safeguarding concerns immediately to a designated safeguarding lead.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the principal.

**Campus Assistant Requirements**:

- Grade C or above in GCSE English and Mathematics.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene.
- Experience in food management systems based on HACCP.
- Experience cooking in fresh, high volume catering establishments.
- Highly self motivated.
- Able to react to unforeseen circumstances under pressure.
- Knowledge of COSHH, H&S, manual handling and electrical safety.
- Experienced using industrial catering equipment to complete the duties of a high volume kitchen.
- Strong moral purpose and drive for improvement.
