We are looking for Delivery Driver and Warehouse Operative to carefully handle the goods from the warehouse and promptly deliver to our customers, providing exceptional customer service.

**Position**: Delivery Driver and Warehouse Operative

**Location**: Calne Depot

**Hours**: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday, starting at either
05:30 or 06:00 and finishing at either 14:30 or 15:00, including a one-hour unpaid break each
day.

**Salary**: £25,000 per annum

**The role**:

- Handle and deliver Salvo’s goods with care and accuracy.
- Perform oil, water, and fuel checks.
- Perform vehicle safety checks and report any vehicle damage and refrigeration failure to the Transport and Technical team.
- Keep maintenance register updated.
- Ensure all delivery equipment is on the vehicle to avoid any issues.
- Correctly storing any goods on the vehicle and in the warehouse.
- Assist with the cleaning of vehicles each week.
- Complete relevant paperwork, ensuring accuracy.
- Remain in regular contact with the Salvo depot, providing updates and highlighting any issues or queries.
- Perform multi-drop deliveries to Salvo customers, ensuring a high standard of road safety, where required.
- Act as a representative of the Salvo brand, championing the company when interacting with customers.
- Receiving in and/or pick and pack goods and supplies.
- Effectively rotate stock to ensure stock does not expire.
- Pick and pack orders for customers and suppliers.
- Maintain clean work areas at all times.
- Keep paper records up-to-date (for e.g. cleaning records, temperature checks, forklift checks etc).
- If licensed to do so, pick/load stock using lift machinery or forklift truck.
- Comply with all Salvo’s policies and procedures with regards to Food Safety, Quality and legality at all times.
