We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Physiotherapy Assistant who will work alongside our Community Out-patient Physiotherapy team based at Guisborough Primary Care Hospital.

You will be offered the opportunity to develop both clinical and administration skills. There is a strong commitment to continuing professional development and we offer excellent clinical supervision, appraisal and opportunities to work in friendly and supportive teams within the Trust.

We are looking for an applicant with a keen interest in the rehabilitation of patients, for which continued professional development is actively encouraged.

You will give support to the qualified Physiotherapists to provide Physiotherapy treatment to patients attending the Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy Departments, assisting with classes and issuing walking aids.

The role also provides support with administrative duties. There may be occasions when you will also be required to work at one of our other localities within the Tees area.

The Community Outpatient Physiotherapy Service works closely with the Orthopaedic, Musculoskeletal and Spinal Clinic teams and has strong bonds with the Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners.

The post holder is well supported by the team within Guisborough as well as the Clinical Lead and wider team.

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the New and Aspiring leaders programme, and the Foundation Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. After you complete this one and a half day of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
