Houskeeper

We are currently recruiting for a Nursery Cleaner/Housekeeper for our Nursery in High Barnet. This is a part time role, Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM, all year round.

In order to support the team, we are recruiting a Nursery Housekeeper to work with us on a part time basis, Monday to Friday. As our Nursery Housekeeper, you will be responsible for the daily thorough cleaning of all nursery rooms including the staff areas, cloakrooms, and toilet areas. You will also monitor supplies of domestic consumables such as soap and paper towels etc as well of ensuring the nursery washing is done daily and the laundry room is kept tidy and organised.

Job Requirements:

- Experience of working in an Early Years Setting is desirable but not essential
- Good hygiene practices

This is a wide and varied role but as an overview you will:

- Be working in partnership with the Nursery team to ensure that high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the Nursery.
- Adhering to Nursery policies and procedures, particularly health and safety, safeguarding and COSHH.
- To communicate with the Nursery Manager where any property or maintenance issues arise.
- Ensuring the Nursery Manager is aware of replacement or repair needs of materials and equipment.
- To check stock of cleaning materials, and equipment so that shortages do not prevent cleaning duties.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic learning environment
- Ensure the nursery remains safe and tidy
