Assistant Buyer

**Purpose of the role**:
To help our client’s procurement team source, purchase and track various components to ensure they can build vehicles on time while continuously developing their commercial supply chain. The Assistant Buyer will be an individual who is highly organised,eager to help, and optimistic about an electrified future.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Source, procure and track components that come through engineering, production, or electronics.
- Maintain proper documentation and approval procedures throughout all stages of purchasing
- Meet regularly with teams to maintain release schedule and meet with relevant members of the team to ensure smooth handoff of data.
- Help gather information on potential suppliers.
**Skills**:
- Demonstrated organisation skills across multiple domains.
- Ability to cold call suppliers, develop consistent follow-up and check-in schedules, and hold suppliers accountable.
- Creative, lateral thinking to find both temporary and permanent solutions.
- Ability to communicate succinctly and clearly about needs and issues.
**Attributes**:
- Hands-on experience either in professional or personal environments (Personal projects, working with factory floor, etc).
- Experience working in small, collaborative environments.
- Ability to create and maintain their own momentum in workplace.

**Qualifications**:
- (Essential)_
- Must have 2 + years automotive experience
- Highly proficient with MS Office Suite
- (Desirable)_
- Experience with EV / PHEV vehicles
- Experience with commercial vehicles
