**This is a paid 6 month fixed-term role, either working full-time or part-time in a hybrid working schedule from our London office in Old Street. We are open to recent graduates looking for work experience or Master's students looking to supplement their thesis with applied work experience.**
**Our **P**urpose**
At Pexapark, we empower renewable energy players to thrive in post-subsidy markets. Keeping renewable investments attractive is our contribution to a more sustainable world.
The journey began in August 2017, when energy traders Michael Waldner and Luca Pedretti, together with software entrepreneur Florian Müller, set out with the purpose of accelerating the energy transition towards net zero by creating an efficient market for renewable energy.
We create transparency, standardise methodologies, and help to educate the industry. We also digitise the route to market and provide a complete software suite. Our vision is to be the Operating System that empowers renewable energy players to have an edge in post-subsidy markets.
**The **R**ole**
As the Machine Learning (A.I) Intern at Pexapark within the Product, Quant & Engineering Division, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to leverage our proprietary knowledge to build out gen-AI-based tools to empower our clients in taking decisions in renewable energy markets.
This role requires a blend of technical capabilities and innovative thinking to find an approach that delivers valuable insights to our clients in a consistent, reproducible way. You will be able to rely on our experts in the renewable energy market domain to iteratively build out a suitable solution. Your work will contribute significantly to maintaining Pexapark's high standards of content accessibility and utility, reinforcing our commitment to technology-driven solutions that support the transition to sustainable energy markets.
How will you help:
- Implement feedback mechanisms and iterate on design and workflow to improve performance and user experience
- Collaborate with internal teams to leverage their market expertise in refining functionalities, ensuring that the insights generated align with Pexapark’s standards
- Participate in the full lifecycle of development, from defining context and capabilities to prompt engineering and retrieval methods that will drive operation of the models
What you’ll bring:
- Academic or applied experience in AI and machine learning, particularly in natural language processing and related technologies.
- Relevant university degree such as; Computer Science, Applied Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Engineering.
- Familiarity with data handling, including the ability to work with large datasets, and understanding of information retrieval techniques.
- Proven problem-solving skills and innovative thinking necessary for developing technology solutions in an agile, iterative environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the capacity to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- An interest in renewable energy markets and the ability to quickly assimilate complex market dynamics
- A good sense of humour
