We are a family run commercial Grounds Maintenance company looking to recruit a site operative to work on a full-time basis within our River Vegetation sector. You will be required to carry out the work outdoors in many weather conditions. If you have the same love for the environment as we do, this job is for you

Applicant will need to show willingness, professionalism, work well under pressure but also be capable of working on their own initiative plus working alongside their supervisor. This role will carry out scheduled waterway works in and around the Lancashire area. The operative will be required to work in the water and maintaining the embankments to prevent flooding and blockages.

**Duties**:

- Undertaking a variety of roles such as river vegetation work, embankment cuts, reservoir works throughout the year.
- During the quieter weeks, you will be placed within the other sector of the company working on our ground maintenance sites ensuring all hedges, grass cutting, shrubs, borders are at a high standard - use of power tools/ ride on machinery would be preferred.
- Working around sensitive wildlife habitats to provide sustainability.
- Complying with Health and safety.
- Applicant must be physically fit.

Certifications
- Must have a full UK driving licence

SSSTS - essential

Annex H Water Safety certificate - essential

First Aid Certificate - preferred

CSCS - essential

PA1 & PA6a/ PA6W - preferred.

At least 2 years experience required

**Salary**: £10.50-£12.00 per hour
