**Retail Sales/Shop Assistant**

**The Shop Assistants key responsibilities are**:

- To offer excellent customer service.
- To merchandise products neatly and re-stock when low.
- To prepare hot and cold beverages and barista coffee
- To work hygienically and always try to clean when quiet from serving.
- To follow instructions from the line Managers.

**All Shop Assistants are expected to**:

- Take part in any training offered by the company.
- **Hold a current Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene or acquire one within 3 months of start date.**:

- Merchandise shelves and counters.
- Assist in stock rotation and stock taking.
- Use cash registers in accordance with rules and regulations.
- Be courteous and polite to customers and other members of staff.
- Refer any complaints to your manager.
- Prepare food in the correct manner using the manuals provided taking care with portion control.
- Take an active part in working as a team and helping others for the good of the store.
- Learn about and understand the products you sell and actively promote all products and promotional lines.
- Participate in all aspects of cleaning for efficient and hygienic running of the store.
- Follow the Rules of Hygiene and be aware of your personal safety and the safety of others.
- Always be of neat and tidy appearance and wear the full uniform provided along with black trouser or skirt.

**In Addition**:
All employees must be flexible and be prepared to assist others in doing alternative work at times, although this will always be avoided where possible.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £11.44-£11.60 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week

- Diss, IP22 4AD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Barista experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
- customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
