**Mechanical Fitter / Production Assistant**

Our client is currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter / Production Assistant to join them on a permanent, full-time basis working 08:30 - 17:00 at their Burntwood workshop.

**The Role**
As a Mechanical Fitter / Production Assistant, you will support our workshop team by fitting mechanical parts and supporting the smooth operation of the workshop.
Supporting the overall build process, you will identify the parts required and fit these correctly by following the instructions provided, using a range of tools.
Your role will also involve:

- Ensure that all equipment is well maintained
- Keep the workshop safe for colleagues and visitors
- Support the Workshop Manager
- Identify and report any problems
- Investigate customer returns to diagnose the fault
**About You**
To be considered as a Mechanical Fitter / Production Assistant, you will need:

- A right first-time approach to work and the ability to follow instructions
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to a strict deadline
- The ability to multitask and balance multiple projects
- Good organisational skills
Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar mechanical fitting role within a distribution centre.
A counter-balance or pivot steer FLT licence would be highly beneficial.
Other organisations might call this role Fabricator, Fitter, Mechanic, Workshop Assistant, Workshop Technician, or Mechanical Technician.
