**Our client based on the outskirts of Newbury is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Assistant to join their rapidly.**

**Due to the location of this role, it is highly recommended that you have your own mode of transportation.**

**Salary**:

- £28,000 to £30,000 per annum

**Shift**:

- 07:30am to 16:00pm
- Monday to Friday

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Pay regular visits to operation areas to ensure food safety.
- Instruct staff to comply with laid down operational procedures.
- Record any non-compliances and subsequent corrective actions taken.
- Maintain the production log, ensure recipes are updated if required and raise any issues with Manager.
- Train and co-ordinate the work of Quality Assurance Assistants.
- Support the Technical and Quality Manager with food safety training.
- Manage the internal audit and inspection schedules and ensure all audits are completed with actions closed out.
- As required attend regular HACCP and Quality meetings and reviews. Prepare briefing papers.
- Check laboratory micro results and raise any issues with management.
- Support the maintenance of our allergen control policy and practices.

**Key Measures and Accountabilities**:

- Is able to communicate at all times and levels to ensure the smooth operation of the department
- Target zero customer complaints related to quality issues etc.
- Ensure Health and Safety guidelines are maintained at all times inclusive of HACCP
- Ensure all paperwork is documented correctly and filed in the appropriate areas.
