Thorkhill surgery is a GP surgery based in Thames Ditton. We are professional, agile and supportive.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Greeting patients and assisting with their queries.
Answer all incoming calls and deal with patient queries.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
Maintain a neat and organized reception area.
Schedule patient appointments with the doctors and nurses.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed.

EMIS Web and DOCMAN Knowledge is desirable, but not essential.

**Position**:Receptionist

**Location**:Thames Ditton

The Receptionist position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests and co-workers in the office and at the restaurant. This position provides administrative support to the front desk and coordinates visitor arrival procedures. The Receptionist will also assist in other areas of the office as needed.

**Essential Functions**:

- Greet guests and guests their co-workers with a warm, friendly attitude.
- Answer incoming calls and direct to appropriate person or department. Answer and direct calls to correct person or department when necessary.
- Answering and directing incoming calls to the appropriate person or department; taking messages; taking phone calls; taking messages and returning messages.
- Verify accuracy of cash receipts, credit card receipts, check receipts, and telephone messages received.
- Respond to restaurant maintenance requests promptly.
- Maintain office cleanliness and order; perform other duties as assigned by management or supervisor as necessary.

- Operates all company equipment in a safe manner according to Company procedures and safety standards. Follows all safety procedures, including using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Maintains work area, including workstations, tables, chairs, countertops, shelves, walls, flooring, and equipment; handles stock and supplies as required; follows instructions properly when provided with direction or assistance from supervisor or manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management or supervisor as necessary.

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; no experience required.
- Strong customer service skills preferred; 1-2 years of receptionist experience preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) with proficiency in Word Pro preferred. Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management staff and employees both internally and externally. Must be able to work in fast-paced environment with high stress level under pressure. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights/weekends/holidays as needed based on business needs.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £10.00-£11.00 per hour
