**The role**
- 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday
- Your role will involve working alongside our operational officers to provide effective financial and statistical support to the service to ensure financial, service performance and technical standards are being achieved and maintained.
- You will be expected to assist in the efficient running of the Repairs and Maintenance Department by carrying out key administrative duties including planning, scheduling and responding to work requests across the department
- The role will also include financial transactions and the administration of material and contractor requirements.
- To provide operational support in the delivery of developing IT systems, accreditations and policies and procedures.
- To assist the Service Improvement and Growth Manager in delivering performance and income targets.
- Provide cover to other administrative roles within the operational areas to ensure continuous operational administrative support to the department.
- To deliver excellent customer care and ensure that a first-class building service is delivered.
- Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to provide accurate and timely management information, financial assessment and performance management.
- Provide effective support and participate in or lead programmes, projects or initiatives as required.
- Deliver high quality financial management, planning, performance and workforce scheduling to ensure a high performing service
- Collaborate with business systems to develop, implement and embed new ways of working
- Administer as required training and development to support operational service areas in maintaining professional standards and accreditations.
- Act as moderator for developed IT systems and workspaces, Technology Forge, Microsoft Teams and other systems that may evolve as the service develops and changes over time
- Provide training and support to staff and operatives with regards IT systems, changes and new developments.
- Provide timely and accurate information on resource scheduling performance and efficiency
- Demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Provide verbal and written information to managers and customers as required to support the delivery of the Building Service function.
- Support customers, staff and suppliers in the effective and efficient delivery of the service as well as handle complex and difficult situations where possible, to seek amicable resolutions, involve the Service Improvement and Growth Manager if cases are too difficult or complex
- When necessary liaise with customers to understand work requirements so that work processing can be implemented clearly and effectively to operatives for delivery
- Ensure customers are informed in a timely manner of any changes to work orders and that these changes are managed and documented on the works system.
- Provide up to date and accurate information as necessary to support the smooth delivery of works and services
- Complete work with minimum supervision making decisions about work needs in order to ensure work is delivered on time and to expected standards with all relevant documentation.
- Initial six-month duration which is reviewable and may be extended to twelve months with the possibility of a permanent role if successful.
- Immediate Start preferred

**The person**
- Must have excellent numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE Maths and English or Equivalent)
- IT literate including knowledge of different methods of communication
- Have previous similar experience including finance
- Data protection and the need to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Understanding of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently using various means of communication
- Ability to follow the strict guidelines and procedures
- Customer Care experience
- Have experience dealing with confidentiality
- Initial six-month duration which is reviewable and may be extended to twelve months with the possibility of a permanent role if successful.
- Immediate Start preferred
