Workshop Foreman

**Job brief**

We are looking for a competent Fabrication Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers within the fabrication shop. As the point of reference of both workers and managers, you will be a key person for the completion of production.

The Workshop foreman must have a solid background in the field. Your leadership skills and your extensive experience have earned you the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organized and favour safety above everything else.

Working hours 8am
- 4.30pm Mon/Thursday. 3.30pm Friday. Overtime Available.

Holidays 26 days plus bank holidays.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
- Produce schedules and monitor attendance of staff
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities
- Supervise and train workers.
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate to achieve deadlines
- Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
- Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
- Resolve problems when they arise
- Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.
- Complete delivery notes/ load lists

**Requirements and skills**
- Proven experience as workshop foreman
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing procedures, equipment and guidelines
- Understanding of working with Mild steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium materials
- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Aptitude in math
- Problem-solving abilities
- Good knowledge of Cad/ Autocad Software for viewing drawings
