**Post Title: Centre and Resource Assistant**

**Team: Adult Learning**

Bury Adult Learning Service are looking to recruit a full-time, permanent Centre and Resource Assistant. The post holder will be based at the Bury Adult Learning Centre and will be working within a busy office alongside a team of other Centre and Resource staff. Hours of work will be 37 per week, over 5 days, Monday to Friday. Daily start and end times may vary and there will be early evening work required, which will be on a rota basis.

The post holder will need a good level of English, maths and IT skills as the work involves a significant amount of data input, and dealing with some financial transactions. Excellent communication skills are required to enable the postholder to support the learner during the enrolment process as well as supporting other staff across the service with administrative duties. This will be face to face as well as over the telephone. The post holder will need to be able to work in some instances on own initiative in a flexible manner, however full training will be given. Experience of working in an Adult Learning setting would be an advantage, however not essential.

Bury Adult Learning is a service within Bury Council. It is externally funded by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and the Education and Skills Authority to provide learning opportunities to adults. The service is based in the centre of Bury, across from the Town Hall and the Metrolink.
