Administration Officer/ Receptionist

To provide administration support to cardiology by helping to reduce the DNA rate, completing unscheduled remotes, ensuring outcomes are completed and answering the telephone as well as other administration tasks when asked.
To provide Reception cover for sickness and annual leave when required. Providing a welcoming environment for patients when they attend the department, with good customer service skills with attention to detail, to be able to multi-task prioritising own workload. Able to work well in a team and as an individual.
Hours of work will be 08.00am
- 16.00pm or 09.00am-17.00pm on a rota basis.
To show a caring and professional approach towards patients and visitors when carrying out reception and appointment duties
Escalate patient queries, capacity problems and general issues to the role’s line manager or relevant clinical staff as appropriate
Telephoning patients to remind them of their appointment in a polite and timely manner
To carry out associated clerical duties, for example maintaining accurate filing systems, recording daily outcomes, completing daily unscheduled remote lists, receiving post and scanning patient notes if required
To book patient appointments in line with the Patient Access Policy (PAP), print letters and arrange any appointment related services as and when required (E.g. transport and interpreting services)
To input outcomes of appointments, including those of patients that did not attend, on the PAS and other relevant computer systems in a timely and accurate manner according to the relevant Trust standards
