**Job Summary**:
As a Junior Project Estimating & costing coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient management and delivery of projects. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity for career development within the construction industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Estimating and Cost Submission**

Assist in the preparation of costs and estimates for construction projects, analysing project plans, specifications, and documentation to contribute to accurate and detailed cost estimates.

Assist in the preparation and completion of tenders and bills of quantities.

**Cost and Project Analysis**

Collaborate with the whole project team to ensure financial objectives are met, ensuring the ongoing monitoring of costs and resources on live projects against budgets.

Learn to identify and report cost variations, providing valuable insights to project teams.

Maintain project files, collating and checking all site records, plans, estimates and sub-contractor orders.

Seek agreement on accounts and agree variations, ensuring all information is ready to be submitted to accounts department for invoicing and payment.

Occasional site visits to assist with monitoring costs and project progress where required.

**Customer and Supplier Co-ordination**

Liaise with Customers and assist with cost/site queries as required throughout projects.

Build positive relationships with customers and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders under the guidance of senior team members.

Support negotiations for pricing and contractual terms with guidance from senior team members.

Assist in the evaluation and negotiation of sub-contractor and supplier costs and agreements.

**Health and Safety**

Assist in the preparation of site-specific Health & Safety files, including Risk and Method statements, assisting with ensuring correct certification is issued to site and submission of Operations & Maintenance manuals on completion of works.

**Qualifications and Skills**

Eagerness to learn and develop skills in the commercial construction sector.

Good analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.

Ability to manage and prioritise workloads.

Strong communication and IT skills and a collaborative mindset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £22,000.00 per year
