**This is a fantastic opportunity to join a top 100 law firm based in Wakefield.We are looking to hire a Fee Earner to join our Complex Case Unit team you will be joining an Investor’s in People Platinum accredited organisation, which demonstratesour commitment to high performance through great people and a strong company culture that focuses on trust, respect, openness and inclusion.
Core Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for a portfolio of complex fast track personal Injury mainly litigated claims, involving allegations of Fraud/LVI.
- Intensive research and detailed analysis into claim prospects and forensic review of evidence.
- Taking, preparing and drafting detailed witness statements.
- Ability to have robust conversations with our clients in order to assess prospects of success
- Achieve multi track allocation of your cases wherever possible.
- Assess complex liability, quantum, calculate detailed special damages and value claims.
- Issue and run complex litigation to ensure we receive the best settlement figures for our clients.
- Deal with complicated litigation issues and be fully aware and compliant with relevant court procedures and timetables.
- Comfortable working under close supervision, working within a sign-off and authority framework.
- Ability to work with a task based case management system to ensure regular contact is maintained with all clients, providing exceptional customer service and managing their expectations.
- Perform to a high level in a target orientated environment.
- To undertake any other tasks as deemed relevant and reasonable by the business

**Person Specification**:

- Proven track record of experience handling PI claims, must include fraud, LVI and fundamental dishonesty allegations. Proven track record of running RTA litigated cases.
- Good working knowledge of the Solicitors Code of Conduct.
- Accountable for achieving objectives in a fast paced environment whilst maintaining high standards of work quality and outstanding client care.
- Excellent negotiator with strong communication skills, good attention to detail and time management.
- Competent working with a case management system and good knowledge of Excel and Word.
