Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team. As a Transport Planner, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing our fleet of tipper lorries and road sweepers along with their drivers. Your expertise in working within the construction industry and organisational skills will contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our transportation department.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and schedule transportation routes to ensure maximium loads are delivered during the working day
- Coordinate with drivers and customers to ensure accurate and efficient delivery
- Monitor transportation costs and optimize routes to minimize expenses
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including driver logs and delivery schedules
- Resolve any transportation issues or delays in a timely manner
- Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries or concerns related to transportation

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in a transport planning within the construction industry
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on problem-solving

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
