We offer commercial analytical lab chemistry testing for food and drink, including: nutritional and health, microscopy, biochemistry, allergens, chromatography, packaging, cereals and ingredients, and wines and spirits

**BBA Team**:
Campden BRI supports the food & drink industry to test food & drink to ensure it's safety for consumers. With extensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of food & drink chemistry and biochemistry.

**Beer, Barley Analysis Team
- **Campden BRI's Nutfield site is the UK's leading centre for brewing research, covering all matters related to beer, wine and spirit development, production, and analysis. Our lab is based in Nutfield, Surrey and our growing team offer beer, barley analysis and consultancy services to the UK & Global brewers.

**Position**:

- Carry out analysis of materials related primarily to the alcoholic beverages industry according to client instructions, within agreed timescales.
- Maintenance of the efficient operation of the UKAS system within areas of work and compliance with all aspects of the Quality System.
- Perform method development activities, under direction. Collate data and produce reports.
- Calibration, maintenance and daily monitoring of laboratory equipment, e.g. balances, pipettes.
- Learning new analytical techniques as required.

Please note due to our rural location
- Nutfield, Surrey, you must be able to drive and have your own transport.

We will not consider relocators for this temporary role. All applicants considered must hold right to work in the UK.

**Requirements**:

- Chemistry Degree.
- Experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory and an understanding of standard wet chemical analysis and/or liquid and gas chromatographic techniques would be an advantage but not essential.
- Computer literate.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Practically minded and able to work as part of a team.
