**Job Purpose**:
The **Domestic Logistics Team Leader** is responsible for managing the execution of grain movements for the company whilst meeting set profit objectives and ensuring contractual terms are met.

The **Domestic Logistics Team Leader **will be a positive and motivational leader of their team, helping to educate develop and driving colleagues to perform effectively and deliver exceptional customer service.

**Main Responsibilities**:
**Management**:

- Delivering and managing performance targets for development of direct reports as set out by the Grain Trading Logistics Manager.
- To proactively manage direct line reports, being responsible for goal setting and developing the teams capabilities and ensuring team objectives are met.
- Developing and maintaining strong business relationships with hauliers and farmer customers.
- Monitoring and negotiation of transport costs, working within set budgets with a focus on delivering with budget and meeting customer service expectations.
- To establish best practices and ensure they are being followed, with the confidence and desire to grow the business/offer suggestions for improvement.
**Logistics**:

- To schedule and plan logistics ensuring high customer service delivery.
- To work with only TASSC approved hauliers within set target rates.
- Booking in deliveries and liaising with customers.
- Allocation and recording of data on company systems.
- To liaise effectively with inter company departments.

**Skills, Abilities and Experience**:
Experience
- Demonstrable negotiation and numeracy skills with experience of managing and meeting financial targets.
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft systems and being able to transfer IT skills to using bespoke company systems.
- Ability to interact positively and fairly, building relationships effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service and delivery.
