Based at Duchy College Rosewarne, we are looking for an experienced individual to take responsibility for the effective coaching and assessment of learning in the workplace of Level 2 and 3 Horticulture apprentices with onsite lecturing responsibilities expected as part of this role.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the effective coaching and assessment of learning in the workplace. Through a process of tutoring and mentoring, the learner will be encouraged and supported in the development of knowledge, skills and behaviours. Engagement of the Employer / Supervisor is also a key aspect of a successful workplace learning assessor and coach.
Applicants must have:
Essential:
- Must have or be working towards a nationally approved Stage 3 teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, CTLLS, DTLLS, EIT or equivalent).
- Must have appropriate academic, professional or vocational qualifications at level 3 or above
- Assessor awards (for work related and other vocational courses).
Desirable:
- Degree in Horticulture.
- Verifier awards (for work related and other vocational courses).
- CRB check completed and available.
Experience
Essential:
- Relevant vocational experience (minimum of two years) within the industry.
Desirable:
- Minimum of two years successful teaching experience.
