Grateley House School

Grateley House School is a successful, ‘good’ rated, 38 week residential special school for young people (age11-19) with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition; typically, high functioning and/or associated disorders.

We also have a satellite house in Salisbury for our Post 16 students.

The school is currently made up of 25 students and will be going through an exciting period of growth over the next three years.

We offer a curriculum to students in Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. The school follows the National Curriculum and we support students to gain outcomes equivalent to mainstream.

Job Role

The Admissions Administrator is responsible for the smooth running of the entire admissions process for the School, from initial enquiries about the School, through to registration and eventual enrolment. As the main point of contact for prospective parents the Admissions Administrator is required to be knowledgeable about the School and be able to respond to queries quickly and efficiently.

It is the responsibility of the Admissions Administrator to work closely with colleagues to ensure that the School remains as full as possible at all times. In addition, they are required to provide regular reports concerning pupil numbers to the Principal, Business Finance Manager and commissioning colleagues.

**Qualifications**:
Educated to at least A Level standard with GCSE in English and Maths at level C or above

AMCIS Certificate in Admissions

Experience/knowledge

Proven experience in an administrative role is essential.
Proficient in the use of MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
Sufficient numeracy to deal with statistical data.
Experience of working to tight deadlines.
Basic understanding of Marketing.

An understanding of the UK educational system, including National Curriculum.
Experience of working in an Independent School Admissions Department.
Experience of providing a comprehensive, professional service, including meeting and greeting visitors.

Key skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to relate

well to people of all levels with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
