Shunter/ Tank Wash Operative

Menzies Distribution are currently looking for a Shunter/ Tank Wash Operative to join our Tankers team based in Banbury. You’ll be responsible for carring out pump and hose washing (training will be provided) cleaning of wash daily and deep cleaning weekly. General yard work, cleaning up and trailer checks.

**What You Really Want To Know**
- Salary: £39,909.00 Per Annum
- Monday to Friday is the working week
- Hours of work are 14:00 till 22:30
- Holiday entitlement is 28 including Bank Holidays
- Overtime is available

**Tank Wash Operative Duties**
- Adhere to cleaning schedule and procedures to ensure the correct levels of cleanliness are maintained
- Attend to product spillages when they occur and follow the spillage procedure
- Monitor quality of hoses and notify Depot Manager of any requirements / damages.
- Complete all required forms on a daily basis
- Tank Washing and post wash inspections to be completed
- Complete wash certificates and drivers log books after each wash completed
- Comply with standards and procedures and compliance to record keeping
- Report any potential failures to conform
- Participate in quality management reviews
- Deliver items in a van as and when required

**Key Experience and Qualifications**:

- Class 1 Licence
- Good observational skills to spot defective items
- The ability to follow strict health and safety guidelines and quality procedures
- Good standards of personal hygiene
- Able to work under pressure
- Works within the parameters of the health and safety/environmental policies
