Devon, United Kingdom Step One Full time

The Devon Mental Health Alliance (DMHA) is a partnership of local organisations from the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sectorwhich aims to make mental health support services across the county more accessible, more effective, and more suited to the needs of their users.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Administration Officer to play a central role in the delivery of our Recovery Practitioner offer. Recovery Practitioners provide one to one support for individuals experiencing severe mental illness, offering person-centred interventions to help people overcome the challenges they are facing and connect with their community.

The Administration Officer will sit at the heart of this service, supporting our two team managers to manage incoming referrals and help co-ordinate the team through general administrative activity. However, this isn’t a standard administration position - you’ll engage with service users, work with colleagues across the county and help grow our service so we’re making the best possible impact for Devon’s residents.

You’ll join a dynamic, positive and inclusive team who make this a great place to work, and play a direct role in making a difference for the people we support. You don’t necessarily need a background in mental health for this role - we’re particularly looking for someone with a proactive, agile approach, a great eye for detail and strong communication skills.

This is a full-time, fixed term position until 31st January with potential contract extension.

Please note that whilst Step One Charity are advertising this role, it will sit within the Devon Mental Health Alliance.

- Effective communication skills, including the ability to challenge colleagues to ensure appropriate and accurate data flows through reporting systems
- General administration tasks as required by the role
- The ability to operate flexibly, prioritising work as required in a dynamic team environment
- The ability to create reports and associated content for a range of stakeholders, from people using services to senior NHS managers
