We are looking to recruit a passionate and experienced individual to join our Neighbourhood Services team, in the role of Arborist.

In this post, you will carry out and assist in providing a comprehensive arboricultural service.

While the work will be predominantly tree-related, some general grounds maintenance, landscaping and fencing works will be required.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Leading and directing arboricultural works to achieve a predetermined work program dictated by external tree surveys.
- Undertaking all aspects of practical arboriculture with particular emphasis on climbing and aerial tree work operations to appropriate industry standards, and in accordance with NPTC Certification.
- Assisting with general grounds maintenance - such as grass and hedge cutting, leaf and snow clearance, litter picking, playground inspection.
- Carrying out landscaping work - such as the planting of shrubs, laying of turf etc.
- The use and maintenance of a range of associated tools and equipment.
- Ensuring that works are carried out effectively to achieve quality and financial objectives, always ensuring the safety of colleagues and the public.

We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced individuals, and you must hold a full driving licence.
- NPTC Certification to CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39
- Full driving licence
- Knowledge of modern arboricultural practices
- Good interpersonal skills and experience of working with the public
- Experience in arboriculture and working in an urban environment
