**“Be Just & Fear Not” Project Curator**

**A unique opportunity to deliver a major community project and exhibition**

**celebrating Carlisle United FC**

The “Be Just & Fear Not” partnership (Carlisle United FC, Tullie, Cumberland Council,
University of Cumbria and Carlisle United Community Sports Trust) are recruiting a Project Curator to lead on the development of a major exhibition and pop-up tour. In what is an important anniversary year for Carlisle United, 50 years since achieving promotion to the First Division for the 1974-75 season, the club is working together with partners on a project to celebrate and preserve its legacy. The project has been made possible thanks to support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The project, entitled _“Be Just and Fear Not”: Celebrating our Club and Supporting our Community_, aims to better document and share the club's history and expand its reach to new and diverse audiences through a programme of community engagement, exhibitions and a review of the Club’s archive alongside a dedicated team of volunteers.

The post would be employed by Tullie.

**Purpose of the Role**

Under the line management of the Exhibitions Manager at Tullie and the direction of the “Be Just and Fear Not” Programme Board, the key areas of responsibility for the Project Curator will be:

- Cataloging, sorting, digitising and managing the Club’s historic archive
- Training a group of volunteers to manage the collection
- Playing a leading role in the development of the “Be Just and Fear Not” exhibition and touring exhibition
- Supporting the delivery of the “Be Just and Fear Not” engagement programme

**Salary**

Grade E (£26,322), Full Time (37 hours p/w)
Fixed Term March/April 2024 - March/April 2025 (12 months)
