Digital Label Printer

Sturdy Print & Design are a family run business, established in 1973 and operating in Skelmersdale in the North West of England.

We are looking to expand our team with a digital label printer, to head up our brand new digital labels department.

You will work within a brand new purpose built facility and be responsible for operating a Screen Trupress 350 and a Digicon Series 3. The operator will be responsible for printing labels to specification on the Screen Trupress, and finishing the labels to specification using the Digicon Series 3. Training will be provided on both machines, but experience on either is highly desirable.

**Main duties include**:

- Operating digital press and finishing line to produce labels to specification.
- Inspecting the quality of labels being printed and finished.
- Producing jobs to the instructions provided.
- Spearheading the company's new digital department.
- Being detail oriented, able to comprehend complex work instructions to produce finished goods to specification.
- Ad hoc tasks including packing and other finishing tasks.
- Have experience working within a label printing company.
- Have experience operating a digital label press or a Digicon Series 3.
- Alternatively, have had experience operating a flexographic printing press.
- Have the ability to champion the new digital label department.
- 'Know what good looks like' when it comes to inspection and print quality.
- Have a keen eye for detail and be meticulous when following work instructions.
- Be a team player.
- Possess strong communication skills.

Working hours are 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday. Friday hours are 8:30am - 3:00pm. 37.5 hours per week.
