The agency’s Maladministration team investigates allegations reported to them over the accuracy of pupils’ results in the national curriculum assessments.

**Job description**:
Maladministration refers to any act that affects the integrity and/or security of the assessments and can lead to results and/or outcomes that do not reflect pupils’ unaided work or actual abilities. We allocate a case manager to each case of alleged maladministration. This is to ensure all investigations are conducted rigorously, fairly and without bias. We work with the STA test development and data teams, schools and local authorities during the course of investigations. This role will also play an integral part to the project management of the team.

**Responsibilities**
- Investigate, manage and resolve minor maladministration investigations consistently, ensuring that all cases are resolved within the set deadlines and in accordance with procedures.
- Develop and maintain project management products e.g. plans, process charts and maps.
- Support project management processes to ensure operational delivery.
- Produce management information reports to monitor progress and identify risks.
- Effectively prioritise your own workload identifying and taking prompt and effective action.
- Maintain records of communications with stakeholders.
- Support drafting of communications with stakeholders regarding ongoing investigations; including management of the teams’ mailbox.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Products, Networking and Telephony such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel.

As this role includes completion of the **Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship**, please check the eligibility requirements below using the apprenticeship standard: Business administrator / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education
- You must have lived in the UK for 3 years prior to apprenticeship start date and not be undertaking another apprenticeship at the same time.
- You already have some of the skills and knowledge that is covered in the contents of the apprenticeship standard.
- You have already worked in a similar role, or your previous learning, and/or work experience covers the contents (Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours) of the apprenticeship standard.
- You already have all the skills and knowledge that is covered in the contents of the apprenticeship standard.
- You have already worked in a similar role, or your previous learning, and/or work experience covers the contents (Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours) of the apprenticeship standard.
- You have a degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration.

Part of this apprenticeship is to complete a level 2 English and Maths functional skills qualification. If you have already achieved GCSEs in English and Maths at Level 4 (grade C) or above, you will not need to complete the functional skills qualification.

At the enrolment state, the individual's eligibility will be checked by the training provider
