School Groundsman

Academic Appointments are looking for a motivated and hardworking groundsman to join a thriving co-educational independent school, catering for boys and girls between the ages of 2 and 16 years of age. **About the school**:
The school is a thriving all-through school in YO61. They are committed to providing our pupils with a high-quality education in a safe and stimulating environment. The school require a groundsman who shares their values who will work alongside the team to care for the 28 Acre site.

**Duties**:
Maintain the school grounds to a high standard, including the playing fields, gardens, and pathways
Carry out repairs and maintenance to equipment and facilities
Plant and maintain trees and shrubs
Watering plants and flowers
Mowing lawns
Sweeping and cleaning paths
Removing litter
Other duties as required

**Qualifications and Experience**:
NVQ Level 2 in Grounds Maintenance or equivalent would be beneficial
2+ years' experience in a similar role
Good knowledge of plant and equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and customer service skills
Committed to health and safety
Enhanced DBS on the Update service or willing to obtain one.

The rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience, and payroll method.
