Floor Planner

**We are looking for a Floor Planner role to join our Floor Planning Team based at Deeside on a 12 month contract/ Secondment.**

As The Range and International Space Planner, you will be the Space Planning expert for The Range, International and New Business projects. You will be responsible for the planning, management, and delivery of your planograms and floorplans in line with a fast-paced trading calendar. You will be required to:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Create planograms that drive sales and profitability whilst maintaining customer choice.
- Achieving a distinct point of difference across the relevant product categories through the manipulation of space and range.
- You will be ultimately responsible for the customer-focussed, profitable & sales-driving deployment of both macro/midi and micro space.
- Ensuring that stores receive an accurate floor plan to grow sales in store.
- Analysing data sets to drill into opportunities and issues, which in turn you will be able to present back as clear, tangible recommendations on space to stakeholders within the business.

**Other Duties**:

- You will have regular contact/meetings with The Range Stores & International Customers, to ensure the reality matches the plan, and identify areas for space and flow improvements.
- Regular competitor visits and use of market data to develop good commercial knowledge.
- Regular engagement with the Buying, Merchandising, Format Development and Estates teams, to ensure you have your finger on the pulse in this fast-paced environment.
- You will carry out analysis of space changes, understanding the impact on sales from a macro and midi space point of view.
- You will be an advocate for our customer and our store colleagues during the space change process, by ensuring store workload is minimised and customer shopping logic is embraced and not disregarded.
- You will work with your Space and Merchandising colleagues and be sure to build a strong team spirit within the team.

**Technical Skills**:

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, influence and build relationships effectively at all levels across the business.
- Strong personal organisation, self-motivated & ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
- Experience of working with data, and the ability to analyse results to make decisions.
- Experience of managing store layout projects of different size and complexities.
- Ideally able to undertake macro/midi/micro space analysis to support optimisation of space allocation.
- Able to present the target store layout/new, refit store layouts to senior management.
