**Procurement Manager - Manchester**

Excellent opportunity to work directly for a professional body within the transportation sector, managing the procurement activities for frameworks/projects and centralised functions.

**Location: -** Manchester

**Salary: -**£52,000 - £56,000 basic + Package

**Role Description**

The Resolute Group has been retained to source & secure a Procurement professional that can lead a small team within a governing body that works closely with the local authorities and DfT. Acting as a trusted advisor, providing recommendations, identifyingimprovements and guiding both internal stakeholders and external parties that engage in your projects.

You will be expected to contribute to the development of strategic objectives and long-term plans as the procurement specialist. Responsible for overseeing all procurement (capital and revenue funded) undertaken by the organisation. The annual corporaterevenue budget is circa £9m per annum. You will also support procurement associated with the delivery of supporting functions circa £4m in associated supporting contracts.

As well as your team advising on internal procurement your team will be managing the external supply chain. Assessing if its fit for purpose, looking at the future projects and potential supply chain partners required to achieve those programmes of work.From identifying new partners, assessing the existing supply chain and ensuring they are not only able to deliver but financially stable to meet their commitments.

This will come through having the correct Policies, Processes and Systems in place. You will be reviewing the existing systems and leading the development and implementation of policy, processes and system improvements. Utilising the data management youhave at your disposal to analyse and report to senior management on functional performance, results and activities to support business evaluation and planning

This is a hybrid role working from home 3 days a week with 2 days a week in the office, engaging with the stakeholders and controlling your team accordingly. If you have worked in the public sector be it category manager or procurement manager this rolecould be a good fit for your skill set.

Required qualifications and experience:

- Previous experience working in Category Management or Procurement.
- Knowledge of OJEU standards would be beneficial along with MCIPS
- Experience of working for a company within the public sector before.
