Our Client an International Point of Sales Specialist is seeking a Mandarin Speaker to join the team initially on a 6 month Maternity Cover but this could be extended to a Permanent Position

**The Role**
- Work alongside the Supply Manager to manage end-to-end supply activities from product development to final delivery. Achieve OTIF (on time in full) and margin targets with relevant supply risks being managed
- Work with cross functional teams as supply expert to develop new products and projects with fast turnaround timeline.
- Work alongside the Supply Manager to manage RFQs (request for quotes), analyse costs and negotiate with suppliers to deliver cost saving.
- Manage supplier performance to ensure expected service level is achieved.
- Monitor market trends and movements to allow proactive supply management and timely response to unexpected events.
- Maintain relevant data and provide reports on demand

**Skills & Experience**
- 1-2 years procurement or supply chain and if you had logistics management experience that would be highly desirable
- Fluent in Mandarin speaking and writing. Ideally educated to degree level.
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills. Strong commercial mind-set, confident and capable of challenging the status.
- Strong communication, team-working and stakeholder management skills that can influence at all levels.
- Strong negotiation skills and supplier management experience. Experience in using procurement software preferred (but full training will be given)
- Ability to develop an understanding of key manufacturing processes in metal, plastics, and print. Be able to understand drawings.
- Potential to progress within the company, self-reliance combined with a team player attitude and an ability to both multi-task and concentrate.
- Flexibility in working hours to communicate well with colleagues and suppliers in multiple time zones

This role is a home based working role but you must be within reach of getting to the office at any time the company requests you
