Gardener/groundsperson

Under the guidance of the current Senior Gardener and Senior Groundsman work would include but not be limited to; Grass mowing and edging, hedge trimming, leaf blowing, path maintenance, planting out, potting up, plant care and maintenance, weeding, pruning, use of machinery and associated tools and other horticultural tasks along with ensuring the gardens and grounds are maintained to a high standard.

Backhouse Rossie Estate is open to the public and is a premier wedding venue so this would be a role which would involve regular contact with the public. It is home to an historic walled garden, herbaceous borders, potager, orchard and vegetable garden with areas of fine lawns and glasshouses along with areas of mature woodland.

**Salary**: £6.40-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
