Welding Inspector

The role of Welding Fabrication Team Leader reporting directly with the production manager. You must have a strong welding and fabrication background and have a minimum of 6 - 12 months experience of leading a team. A typical week within the role of Welding and Fabrication Team Leader will involve 20% hands on welding and 80% team leading tasks. Day to day duties of the successful Welding and Fabrication Team Leader will include:

- Leading team meetings and organising shift handovers as required
- Organise and distribute workloads between team members
- Organise overtime requirements
- Accurately interpreting customer requirements and reading manufacturing drawings
- Ensure production schedules are met
- Manage any planned and reactive maintenance tasks
- Maintain Health and Safety standards within the area including contributing towards and monitoring risk assessments for your department
- Identify training needs within the team and contribute towards their individual personal development
- Implementing new processes and structures within the team to improve production efficiency and lean techniques
- Encourage the team to submit improvement ideas to increase engagement and efficiency
- Using internal IT systems
- Any additional knowledge of metal bending or forming processes would be highly beneficial

This role would be ideal for someone with Team Leading, MIG Welding and Fabrication experience within a sheet metal, engineering, or welding business / department.

Hours of work are: Mon - Thurs 8am - 5pm & Fri 8am - 2.30pm Overtime available.

Wages: Starting at £31,824.00/year

Holidays: 20 days + Bank Holidays
