**Job Overview**:

- The job is based at a local authority head office, so this job will be customer focused role. You will be dealing with members of the public, staff and councillors. The job requires small maintenance task, carrying out daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
- There is also an element of security duties, which includes being front of house, dealing with nuisances, ensuring the site is secure outside of normal hours.
- The job is shift work, with 1 week of earlies and 1 week of lates. You'll be required to work 2 weekends out of four, this will be paid at a overtime rate.
- There is also a requirement to be on call, once every four weeks.

**Main Duties**
- Opening, closing and securing the site.
- Complete daily site inspections and reporting of any technical failures / fabric faults.
- Check roofs and sweep when necessary
- Check and inspection boiler rooms for any faults, leaks and other issue. Report and record any problems.
- Assist with effective set up of meetings rooms across the facility for guests and customers.
- Undertake painting and decorating as required to ensure high quality finished is maintained
- Complete repairs to building fabric in line with skillset to ensure high quality finish is maintained.
- Undertake small maintenance task, I.E, securing fittings, minor wall repairs
- Undertake furniture relocation as needed.
- Support M&E maintenance team on site with works requiring access within building fabric to be established.
- To also provide additional resource to support M&E routine maintenance task completion out of hours as required.
- To live within 15/20 minutes from the site
- Attend out of hours to assist with customer event facilities support.
- Conduct routine inspections of Safety Grab Bags, Eye Wash and First Aid Boxes to ensure active monitoring of expiry dates.
- Removal of waste from customer facing locations in support of maintenance team.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment and demonstrate a positive and professional approach towards guests, visitors and colleagues.
- Assist in greeting and welcoming guests and visitors, control access to the budling and carry out regular security checks.
- Carry out lobby presence and patrol within the property and deal with undesirable behaviour.
- To be first Aid trained or willing to undertake training to become a qualified first aider
